In another article from "IDG/PC För Alla" it is said that Valdi, the CEO of Medison said (seriously) on the press conference that he will be prime minister in Sweden sometime.
Update since people seems interested in the matter:
Valdi don't believe that he has to be in a political party to become prime minister (or minister of state as it's proper name is in Sweden). He hasn't decided when to start campaign, it depends on his family and how Medison evolves. But it will be some day!

the man is craisy
oh boy, now thats getting beyond rediciuls :/ . I mean selling laptops for 150$ is funny(or sad perhaps) but than running for a prime minister??? now thats just.. I'm speechless, totally. I wonder what comes next? Perhaps a state of the art top of the line laptop with all the bells and whistles for 199$ (sponsored from ads on their web page and political campaign of course)...
PS: keep up the good work tommy, certainly the only blog i check every hour...

I'm sure it'll involve aliens, time machine, dinosaurs, space travel, ninjas and anal sex. I don't want to even be around when he announces it.
-Valdi don't believe that he has to be in a political party to become prime minister-
I'm sure he doesn't believe he has to win elections to be prime minister either.
Maybe he's a prime minister already. We have to check the list of accomplishments on medison.se right between the "we designed iMac" and "we created NASA" claims.
-it depends on his family and how Medison evolves-
Ok... I guess we can scratch that one off the list, unfortunately :P
Maybe he could become oil billionaire? That's a nice profession. He's got the hair do, the costume, the CEO title. He only needs the oil now.
Sweden is a monarchy. The head of state in the King. Prime minister is the correct term.
Maybe Valdi believes all publicity is good publicity? Perhaps he'll marry Linda Rosing and together they'll save the world? Personally until I get a $150 laptop out of him he's a total mongo until proven otherwise.
This is a very clear example of viral advertisement.
If well done, it can be real.
Perhaps he loses money on the computers but with the ads, he must be having lots of visits right now.
But nobody on his right mind will pay $ 2M for an advertisement without seeing a working laptop, the factories and so... :D

Think again. First they become the laughing stock of the entire internet, second they piss off a bunch of companies that have nothing to do with them and fraudulently use their name to sell goods. Third, they broke a bunch of laws with their order site and strategy.
Plus - come on, how many people per buying person should see an ad to compensate for a $500 laptop sold for $150? Laptop or no, there's no possibility AT ALL this "business model" of their would work.
The thing with viral marketing is: you get popular and then you get to sell a real product based on your popularity. That's the hard thing.
Everyone can do only one or the other: just become popular (by being a retard and driving himself in a huge hole), or just trying to sell a product.
Plenty of their customers got refunds, hell: 2CO suggested people get refunds, their own partner.
This is not how viral marketing is supposed to happen
