Lies, misinformation & errors

  • Medison claims that they have been a successful company since 1996. However, the two companies that exists today was created just a few weeks back. Almost all other companies that is referred to on their site has either never existed, been unregistered, been liquidated or gone bankrupt. They also claim "Our company has reached not only a brand name, but also a name that stands for quality and science.", which is utterly bullshit and can't be validated.
  • They claim that they have opened an Apple Store, that in reality never seem to have existed.
  • Their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy was copied directly from apple.com, just replacing Apple with Medison. This text have now been replaced with "We are reviewing our legal information and will update this page as soon as possible."
  • The text phase "Pricing, specifications, availability and terms of offers may change without notice. Taxes, fees, shipping and handling and any applicable restocking charges are extra, and vary." that are frequenting their site are copied directly from Dell.
  • They have had links and banners to several "partners" that now has been removed after the involved companies has asked them to do so, since they never were any partners to them. When confronted about this fact, they claim that it was old information that was supposed to be removed. However, the links and banners was only removed when every and each company contacted Medison themselves, making this claim to seem absurd.

Okay, before I refute your points, I just want to say that I as many others think Medison is quite fishy and doesn't exactly give off an aura of confidence. But, some of these accusations aren't exactly great either.

Medison claims that they have been a successful company since 1996.

Actually, they have been around since 1996 in Sweden. Though it's true they have been deregistered since then.

They claim that they have opened an Apple Store, that in reality never existed.

Proof? It might've existed once, but doesn't appear to exist anymore.

Their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy was copied directly from apple.com, just replacing Apple with Medison. This text have now been replaced with "We are reviewing our legal information and will update this page as soon as possible."

If the Apple store thing is true, that might be where they got it from. Just saying...

The text phase "Pricing, specifications, availability and terms of offers may change without notice. Taxes, fees, shipping and handling and any applicable restocking charges are extra, and vary." that are frequenting their site are copied directly from Dell.

This is also true, but since they have been claiming their official homepage is a dummy page, well... Another thing they forgot to take down? Not impossible.

They have had links and banners to several "partners" that now has been removed after the involved companies has asked them to do so, since they never were any partners to them. When confronted about this fact, they claim that it was old information that was supposed to be removed. However, the links and banners was only removed when every and each company contacted Medison themselves, making this claim to seem absurd.

Agreed. Had they removed all banners at once instead of one at a time, this argument might've held some merit.

Again, I still think this company is fishy, but, so far no concrete proofs have been presented, either for or against them. Hoping this site will bring some clarity to this.

1. Exactly, but they claim that the company hass been since then, which isn't true. They are new.

2. I see it as "proof" when you can't find any information that it was one. I would have been a quite big deal and it would certainly be on google. But sure, I can change the wording.

3. No, the ToC was freshly taken from apple.com, the Apple Store-thing is old.

4. Just like almost EVERYTHING on the site?

[Apple store] I found this store after digging around a bit:

http://www.machuset.se

No mention about Medison, but they if anyone ought to know if Medison ever had a store there, seeing as they opened a store at around the same time.
