2co comments again...

... but still doesn't say anything useful:

"I am willing to answer questions regarding 2Checkout.com, but I will not compromise our integrity. If you were a vendor of ours and I had a meeting with you, I would not put the contents of that meeting on the open forums. There is a privacy policy in place.
We do not need a tracking number to do verifications this is done by telephone.

2Checkout has not violated any international law, nor have we condoned any kind of fraud.

You as our customer are completely secure, you will receive your laptop, or you will receive a full refund."

I can't believe this. They say that they will answer questions, but they don't answer any? And suddenly they don't need tracking numbers, when they previously said that Medison was required to provide this information? Why do they change their answers all the time? I have previously thought that 2co was a somewhat serious company, but I'm really starting to change my mind.
Let's see if I can write up a new open letter with some interesting questions!

You really shouldnt post Valdi's phone number, that isnt fair to him. (not siding with valdi just saying)

I find it interesting that they verify by Telephone. Soo, if I dont own a telephone this means I cant buy a laptop???

I removed the first comment on this post containing a phone number to Valdi. The information is easily accessible if you want to have if, but I don't want to have it posted here.

It must suck to work at 2checkout and have to call Swedish customers at midnight...

If you don't own a telephone you're a time traveler from the distant past.

You're required to enter a valid credit card, phone for contacts, and billing/shipping address, and email, to order anything anywhere on the Internet.

How is it possible that confirming if the product exists or not can be covered under a privacy policy.

They're trying really hard to cloud our mind with PR bullshit speak.

I've the feeling things are ugly underneath, and they don't want us to see this.

How could 2co verify delivery to clients in sweden, germany, india, canada etc. BY PHONE? do they have german speaking stuff? swedish? polish? do they make trans-atlantic phone calls at 4 o'clock in the morning?

A complete mystery. Very entertaining, though. Jag trodde inte, att svenskarna kann vara så roliga. :)

My $150 Laptop

For goodness sake! Leave the parties involved alone! I have ordered my $150 laptop knowing that I will NOT be scammed, because of full recourse I have throught the credit card processor!

Hopefully Friday I will receive a shipping notice, but even if it is later, no big deal! The price is right and I am thinking of purchasing a couple more as Christmas gifts? Just need the first one to check out and test properly!

Just think what this can do to all that high priced laptop inventory of HP, Compaq, Sony, Toshiba, Dell, Gateway(Now Acer), Lenovo and others, sitting in a warehouse awaiting the Holiday sales rush?

The entertainment of the Blogs makes my purchase totally worthwhile! Keep up the rhetoric!

Yeah, we should just accept bad business practices, non-stop lying CEO's and potential scammers alone. Why should we care? Let's just stop to try to end all other types of potential criminality too, who cares?

Actually I know a few people who have electronics, and jobs, and homes, but do not have telephones.

It is possible to not have a telephone. Its improbable, and its unlikely, but it is possible.

They do the calls in English, and suitable time for the timezone they call. I know since I order a lot online, am in Eastern Europe (different timezone) and get routinely confirmations over the phone.

And yea, you're supposed to know some English, if you ordered a laptop from an site and checkout written in English. Not a major disaster, now, is it.

No country or institution harasses people on the basis that they *suspect* someone may *potentially* may do a crime in the future if the planets align properly in midnight.

Just keep track of the facts, and add your commentary, Tommy. Honestly, this thing is going a little overboard now (for real).

Just don't forget that industry experts said the price is totally not right. I know "impossibly cheap" sounds "right" to a guy on a tight budget.

I have a $10 laptop. Now imagine what that would do to Medison's laptop! I'll ruin 'em.

Oh wait, I don't have $10 laptop, so I won't ruin them. Just like Medison won't do anything to Lenovo, Acer, Asus and whatnot.

Medison don't have a phone ;)

Of course they do. They just don't want to provide the number to their customers, because they don't want to talk to them.

Guess why.

Is it possible also not to have Internet? So how do you order on the Internet without Internet?

You're going on the insane edge now.

You can't have Internet, but you can have ACCESS TO the Internet. *sigh*

But not to a phone. What a moronic discussion.

I guess we're all waiting for August 31 and the delivery of our Medison Clevo.

I for one welcome our new 150-dollar overlords.
